Balance is Everything
I honestly don’t remember a time when I didn’t know what yoga was. I have always been involved in some form of creative expression and had a connection with my body. From an early age, I enjoyed dance and gymnastics which then lead into dance aerobics and yoga during college. My yoga practice was sporadic at best during my early 20s as I slowly navigated my way through those formative years.
When I returned to the United States, after living in Norway, it was difficult to tap back into the inner strength that I developed while living away from everything familiar. As I stepped on my mat in New York City, it took a while, but that strength and self expression came back and I felt my independance surfacing again. But this independence also came with a community; my heart had found home again. I became a teacher in order to share this expression of self-strength with others and help them find their own empowerment from the practice.
I am an E-RYT500 registered yoga teacher and have multiple trainings in restorative/therapeutic yoga as well as Yin Yoga and meditation.
I am also an Integrated Yoga Tune Up® Teacher and a Roll Model Method® Science of Rolling Trainer. I have been certified by exhale® Spa as a Barre teacher and continue to study anatomy with Amy Matthews at The Breathing Project in NYC.
